1/2 c. honey
1 T. oleo, melted
1 t. lemon extract
2 8-count tubes crescent rolls
1 t. lemon peel, grated
1 3. chopped nuts
Preheat oven to 375*. In a 9" square pan, combine honey, oleo, and lemon extract. Spread over bottom of pan. Separate rolls into 4 large rectangles and sprinkle on lemon peel. Starting at short side, roll up and seal. Cut each roll into 4 slices. Sprinkle nuts over lemon mixture. Arrange rolls over nuts. Bake 40 minutes or until deep golden brown. Cool 3 minutes and invert on waxed paper. Serves 8
Today is extremely cold. The wind chill is -22*. We went with Shannon Earl and Joel and Jim Wilder and 5 of us to see "Stand By Me." Since this writing, Shannon was murdered on Halloween and remains to date unsolved.

Whip canned milk just like you would cream. Simply chill 1 cup of canned milk in a metal bowl in freezer until crystals begin to form, about 15 minutes. Whip until stiff. Add 1 T. lemon juice and whip 2 more minutes.
